When you go to Finland, a country where 95% of the population is inbreed, chances are that you will meet at least 7 members of the Avarus family! You can smell them from a mile away, they're the adults raising their kids on homebrew white spirit, continuously producing the kind of farts you can't hear though the stench is worse than the ones that sound like a brassband. Behind every Finnish tree there is a member of Avarus humping another Avarus member, and rarely a Kemialliset Ystavat member (the other 5% of Finns). The governement of Finland is not proud of this sick family, they try to keep it silent, rarely give interviews to press from other countries and make sure planes hardly fly out. Though for some reason Arttu Partinen, Roope Eronen and Tero Niskanen made it as a trio in a small boat to the USA. The only instruments that made it were a few balloons and a crappy casio. On arrival they found a microphone, a drum and more toys, climbed the WFMU building and played the craziest session ever! Like a bunch of children discovering the 50's euro avant garde scene, the 60's psychedelic free jazz and pre-punk scene, the 70's sound poetry and punk scene and the 80's disco scene in one afternoon!! This LP sounds like a mix of all of that I guess. Limited to 300 copies, comes in a psychedelic duo coloured cover by Dennis Tyfus.

John Berndt (born 1967) is a musician and organizer based in Baltimore, Maryland who is best known as an extended-technique experimental saxophonist and electronic musician. He participated in the second wave of the neoism cultural movement.

Audrey Chen's sonic vocabulary is by now a familiar part of the Baltimore experimental music landscape. As familiar as her technique, extended technique and forceful lungs are, it's her collaborative prowess with different players that is so impressive as she matches and drives the intensity of any spontaneous creation. Using her trusty cello, self-styled vocal techniques and ever surprising content/concepts, Audrey Chen has emerged as one of the most vital free- improvisors in the Baltimore community and beyond. Her approach to improvisation and performance is extremely visceral. She utilizes traditional and extended technique in order to create a hybrid language that pushes the boundaries of both instruments. These two combined with an unusually strong sense of movement, sound and space, contribute to the constantly fresh depth of her experimentation.

A 20 seconds floppy film (MPEG-1 video on a standard 3.5" floppy disk) of performance gig by Next Life (Hai Nguyen Dinh & Trond Jensen) at WORM on February 21 2009, recorded live with a Sony Mavica floppy disk camera.
Next Life perform short sets of extremely condensed, loud, stroboscopic audiovisual pieces partly produced with vintage home computers and have blessed this floppy film as a congenial recording.
All live floppy cinema disks are 1:1 copies of the camera floppy disk, with no later editing or file manipulation.

Normally a four-man free rock/noise supergroup featuring Franq de Quengo (Dragibus), Nicolas Marmin (Aka_Bondage / Osaka Bondage), Sébastien Borgo (Sun Plexus) and Alan Courtis (formerly Reynols), LAARQLMEDALA, the bastard offspring of one of Damo Suzuki's numerous hydra-headed pickup bands a few years ago, is augmented here by a double-barrelled percussion assault from Jean-Yves Davillers and Edward Perraud in seven sonic breeze-blocks recorded in various venues throughout France (Mulhouse, Paris, Grenoble, Toulon, Lyon and Marseille) during a 2007 tour of "squats, bookshops and jazz clubs." As you might expect from musicians who are credited with providing "electrification, mesmerising, atom chickpeas, anti-fog guitar, ear cleaning, mycology, tam tam and polyrhythmic jipetambo arkhestra", it's a collection of psychedirgeic drone-heavy dirty jams (not all of them ear cleaningly loud but many quite mesmerising), lovingly packaged along with a grinning grim reaper poster, info insert and postcard.

First release on Esquilo's new dvd, Incite series, featuring audiovisual works of contemporary electroacustic improvisation and composition music and video art. Mass is a collective intermedia project, featuring looper (nikos veliotis, martin küchen, ingar zach) and john tilbury, which integrates image and sound to reach a deeper conceptual level that brings open questions about human thoughts and beliefs to the foreground. The visual side of mass is realised by nikos veliotis and consists of religious images gathered from websites that advertise religion, any religion. the pictures are overlaid and animated in a soft pendulum motion, attempting to somehow detach religion from its obsessive quest for absolute truth.
