Autumn Light consists of six pieces by Stephen Vitiello, Peer Bode and Andrew Deutsch. The odd numbered tracks are collaborative pieces constructed over a three year period. These tracks have a vine like quality comprised from interminglings of noise, texture, field recordings, and tone. All together these tracks communicate the dense pungent scent of wet soil, roots and the complicated nature of a wild garden. The even tracks are solo pieces by Stephen Vitiello. Lush in atmospherics and composed of brilliant blocks of sound, these tracks reflect the light warmth, and humidity need for growth. Program your CD player for either the even or odd tracks and you will have two extraordinary different experiences, or play them as ordered and imagine yourself in a physicalized garden of sound.

In 1984, prior to his founding of proto-metal armageddon unit Zeni Geva, Kazuyuki K. Null forged, along with Seijiro Murayama (the original drummer for Keiji Haino’s peerless Fushitsuha), the ungodly alliance of Absolut Null Punkt (ANP). After a 15-year hiatus, the duo decided to play together once again, a decision culminating in a series of performances in their native Japan and, more recently, several shows in parts of mainland Europe. This self-titled release on the US-based, Important Records, is a document of performances taken from both Tokyo and Osaka. As you would expect from two veterans of the Japanese noise community, Null and Murayama concoct a visceral brew of pulverizing free rock improvisation and Merzbow-style white noise power electronics.

Anla's solo piece is a sweet ride of ponderous strings, designed to bury deep. Dylan's piece is a electronic drunken swagger straight to tape. The final piece is a live duet which sounds more like an ensemble piece, real fucking strange brain gas emission that confused all in attendance, especially the two performers.
