Francis Picabia - La Nourrice Américaine
A piano piece first performed at a Dada soiree in 1920 and consisting of only three infinitely repeated notes. More radical than the "Vexations" of Picabia's close friend Erik Satie, it anticipates La Monte Young and Terry Riley by forty years.

Salmigondis - Assez de trop pas.
Salmigondis is a Parisian sextet of musicians with different backgrounds that took shape in 2006. On the menu is an explosive stew of psych, dada, freak, noise, jazz, punk and other spices. According to the mood, place, energy, technical provisions the group impulsively reflects its influences with acoustic, electric and electronic sounds all driven by an irresistible urge. The result could be placed along the work of The Nihilist Spasm Band, Smegma or the No Neck Blues Band. Salmigondis released some delicious slices of vinyl on their own label Bloc Thyristors along with other family dishes as Tankj and Empan. Judith Kan : voice, Christine Sehnaoui : sax, Jérôme Declerq : sax - effects, Ludovic Renaud : keyboard - turntable - effects, Mademozel Jeanne : bass - effects, Jean-Noël Cognard : drums.

Voices Of Dada is another in LTM's acclaimed series of archive audio CDs exploring Twentieth Century avantgarde and modernist art. The CD features interviews and phonetic poetry by six key figures of the celebrated Dada movement (1916-1923), as follows: MARCEL DUCHAMP: two extended interviews with the master theorist recorded in 1959, and a reading from A l'infinitif (1967), TRISTAN TZARA: a 1948 recording of his poem Pour compte, KURT SCHWITTERS: recordings from 1932 of his best known phonetic poems, Die Sonata in Urlauten and Anna Blume, RICHARD HEULSENBECK: an extended interview from 1959, plus a reading from Phantastische Gebete (Fantastic Prayers), 1967, RAOUL HAUSMANN: three phonetic poems written in 1918 and recorded in 1956, plus a colourful interview from 1959, HANS ARP: a rare 1961 Recording of Dada-sprüche.
