Proibidao is the name given to a certain kind of electronic funk music produced in Brazilian favelas, especially in Rio de Janeiro where it started to appear in the beginning of the '90s as a parallel phenomenon to the growth of drug gangs along the city's more than 600 slums. A raw mix of live funk vocals and Miami bass structures.

This is the first recording of Geesin sr. and a difficult album to label. Could be categorised as experimental. The bizarre sounds, strange speeches resembling a British Captain Beefheart, frequent change in speed and macabre, yet sometimes happier and upbeat, piano pieces, along with chirpy outbursts from other instruments just add to the uniqueness of this album, making it very pleasurable to listen to and hard to forget.

Lovingly re-issued, this is another gem from the catalogue of seminal library records label KPM. Ron Geesin's futuristic 19 track odyssey 'Electrosound' was originally issued in 1972 and has been fully remastered by the man himself. Pressed onto striking blue and white marbled vinyl and pressed up in an edition of 500 copies in gatefold sleeve. Not a very good pressing though, some crackling here & there....

All this in musical structures that stab you in a monomaniac way, while at the same time they really get you moving.

Autumn Light consists of six pieces by Stephen Vitiello, Peer Bode and Andrew Deutsch. The odd numbered tracks are collaborative pieces constructed over a three year period. These tracks have a vine like quality comprised from interminglings of noise, texture, field recordings, and tone. All together these tracks communicate the dense pungent scent of wet soil, roots and the complicated nature of a wild garden. The even tracks are solo pieces by Stephen Vitiello.
